Iron-on woven interlining/stabiliser can be used on embroideries to stabilise the fabric so that threads do not show through.
Shape To Create Fusible Woven Interfacing is a medium weight cotton and will add support and stabilisation to fabric. It is used for both lengthwise and crosswise grain and ideal for blouses, dresses, cuffs, collars, waistbands, necklines and pockets. The activated adhesive on one side of this fusible stabilizer will bond it to your fabric when you iron it on. Once it is fused, your fabric will feel stiffer and heavier.

Fabrics can be prone to puckering and tension problems (especially if they are not stitched in a hoop). Light coloured fabrics can also have the problem of shadowing, where the coloured threads show through the fabric from the wrong side. An easy way to help eliminate these problems is to use a fabric stabiliser.
